Career Profile

Dr. Henrietta Ijeoma Kelle is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences, National Open University of Nigeria. She holds a PhD. in Environmental Chemistry from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state, Nigeria, MSc. in Pure and Industrial Chemistry (Environmental Chemistry option) from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state, Nigeria and BSc. in industrial Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Enugu state, Nigeria. She is a member of the Chemical Society of Nigeria and the Institute of Chartered Chemist of Nigeria. Her research interests are in oil spill remediation, study of the distribution and fate of chemical pollutants in the environment, synthesis of nanoparticles for the removal of chemical pollutants from aqueous medium through adsorption and photodegradation mechanism and use of biomaterials for removal of pollutants and remediation of polluted environments. She has published several articles in reputable journals.
